Baby Crazy

I went into the little boutique next door to my work a few days ago just to look and see what they had. And to my surprise they carry those cute little crocheted (?) head bands and beanies with the flowers. They are TOO CUTE to resist buying. So I bought 3 headbands, 3 flowers, and 1 beanie, all coming to a total of $47.97! AH! Chase wanted to murder me when I got home, but then he was a little softened when he saw how darling they are.

Then, last night was a girl I just hired's first day working. She just had a little girl who is now 3 months old. So I was telling her all about how I got the cutest headbands but I paid so much stinking money for them. Little did I know, she is a little girl guru! She told me that "I had to look at this website! It's so amazing!" So I did, and thanks to her, this morning I placed a $47.97 order online. On what? Beanies, headbands and the dang flowers that clip on them!!! But... I got 12 headbands, 12 beanies and 12 Flowers WITH the clips all for the same price that I spent at the boutique!!! YAY FOR BARGAIN SHOPPER MEG!!!

More baby Matyx news... I can SEE her moving all the time. Especially late at night I can watch her move around and watch my belly shift and move. Ha! It's so funny! I can't believe how soon she will be here! But you can bet that she will be the cutest little thing ever with all her cute bows!!!

And now for a scary story that Chase's friend Tommy told us the other night...

This family had a big Boaconstrictor, and it was like part of the family... AND it slept under their 2 year old daughters bed.... weird? Yes, but I guess it was too big for a cage and the family obviously treated this huge Boa like any other family pet. I know alot of you share beds with your dogs! Anyway, eventually the snake stopped sleeping under the girls bed and started stretching out right next to the bed. The snake also stopped eating it's mice, and was pretty much starving itself. So after a week or two of the snake not eating, and them still wondering why it was sleeping stretched out next to their toddler's bed, they decided to take it to the vet to see if it was sick. Guess what the doctor said...THEIR PET SNAKE WAS STARVING ITSELF BECAUSE IT WAS PREPARING TO EAT THEIR CHILD!!! The snake had been laying by the bed to size up its prey! (Their daughter!) Ugh! That sends chills up my spine! Anywho... life is good! =]

26 Weeks

Yesterday was my 26 weeks appointment. No ultrasound. =[ But.... I have an ultrasound in three more weeks and then after that we start my two-week appointments and those continue untill she comes. probably about 4 of those! AH!!! She will be here soo soon! I can't believe it. I would like to say time is flying by but it's not. I feel like I have been pregnant for 7 1/2 years. =] She said I am measuring right on schedule and from now on I can only drink milk and water. Which I am fine with. I took my first belly picture yesterday and I wish I would have started earlier. But... I didn't, so here it is. The 26 week belly picture!

My Perfect Life

Ok, so the title may be a LITTLE exaggerated, but for the most part, perfect is exactly how I would describe my life these days.

I feel like before I always felt so lost and incomplete, and usually not in full control of my life. But this new leaf I have turned and the new journey I have begun is the most stable and directed I have ever felt. There are a few reasons I can tag why that is.

Firstly, my family. I have the best family ever. Included in that family you would have to mention Sophie. She is the light of my life. Chase always gets so mad at me because I say, "How can I ever love Matyx as much as I love Sophie? It's impossible!" And even though I am joking because loving my child could never compare to my dog, but still! I love that dirty rat so much sometimes it's unreal. She knows when I am happy, sad, mad. She just knows me. My Mom and Dad are the best. I could not ask for better parents. They do so much for me. Even though I gave them a hell of a good few years I know how much they love me and I hope they know how much I love them, and how much I appreciate everything they did and continue to do for me. My little sisters are SO CRAZY! I don't think I was ever as crazy as them... hahah you are right they ain't got nothin on me. I love them so much. It is so crazy to me how different they are. But both equally cute. =] I know I give Rylie a hard time and tease her alot, (another thing Chase gets mad at me for) but it's because I love her. Usually. Ha ha. Kenlie is just the sparkle in my eye. I have always kind of taken Ken as my own. She is my baby sister and therefore my territory and sometimes I feel like the Mother cub. It scares me that one day she will grow out of her awkwardness and have striking looks to match her awesome fun personality and then we will have major issues. Look out species of the Male Race. Last but not least my Tader Tot. He has seriously been surprising me lately. He is growing up so fast and even has a GIRLFRIEND!!! AH!!! Haden?!?! A girlfriend? I never though I would see the day! I thought that he would always think girls had cooties. He is such a cool kid. The weird part is, the older he gets, and the more different I see we are, the more I love him and respect the person that he is. I always wanted Haden to be the star athlete and Mr. Popular. But I wouldn't change one thing about him. He is such an intelligent young man and the girl who snags him forever will be one lucky girl. (And also very strong and brave because she will have to go through me. =])

Inlaws. What a weird concept. I thought inlaws weren't real except for in punch lines of jokes. But I can say that now after being married for a little bit and having it actually sink it, my inlaws are one of the biggest blessings that came from getting married. I could not ask for a better group of people. Chase's Mom is superwoman. Seriously, I don't know how she does it. It makes me tired just thinking about all the things she does. Chase gets so many of his amazing personality traits from Cyndi and I am so greatful that she raised such a good man that is now the biggest part of my life. And Brian. Oh Brian. Ha Ha I think about 90% of the time I annoy the crap out of him and he wants to punch me in the noggin, but I just love the guy. He is such a good example and such a strong role model for Chase. Cyndi is lucky to be married to such an awesome man and Chase is lucky to have him as an example. Stephen is just too smart for his own good. He is such an intelligent guy, and such a good supporter for Anisha. The talent those two have together blows me away. Where do I even start with Anisha? I have never had an older sister, I have always been the older sister. I am so so so so blessed to have a new sister. Especially Nish. I feel so inadequate as a wife and a soon to be mother when I compare myself to her. She is such a good mom, homemaker, and wife. That girl is the most crafty and talented woman I have ever met. I look up to her so much and I hope that one day I can be half the woman she is. Their kids are so adorable. I always tell Anisha that when Matyx gets here she better be ready to trade straight across for Macy. =] And my Bracky. I have such a tender spot in my heart for Chase's twin. I love him so much and he is such a good person. He makes me laugh daily and I am so grateful for the close friendship we have created.

And of course my Chaser. I actually feel bad for the rest of all of you. I have the greatest man on earth and the rest of you have to settle. In my journal the other day I was listing all of the things that I love about Chase. There are so many that I couldn't even write them all down. Everyday I find at least one or two new things about him that I love. I really did marry my best friend and I realize that more and more everyday. Yes we argue, I normally am a crazy pregnant hormonal girl but he puts up with it so good. Even the little things he does like offer me a back rub, or bring me a Lemonade to work make me so happy that he is mine. I am so lucky. He is going to be the best dad. Everyday I swear all he talks about is how ready he is for her to be here, and how excited he is to be a dad. I will have the luckiest kids on earth because they will have the best dad ever. I love Chase so glad and so grateful that he picked me.

Jeep Safari 2009

Every year for about the last 9 years Chase and his friends go down to Moab for the Jeep Safari. I had never been and in fact, I have only been to Moab one time and I was asleep the whole time. So this year Chase and his friends kept up the tradition and planned to go down again. So thursday after work, we packed all of our things in Stephen and Anisha's trailer and headed out.

It was a really long drive, and Chase tried to kill us only one time. =] But luckily his fantastic driving skills pulled through and we survived. It was actually a pretty big group that ended up going, even though the majority of them ditched out right before we were supposed to leave. It was me and Chase, Rick and Heather and their two little girls, BJ and Jill, Matt and Lynsey, Clark and Brett, and a few other stragglers that seemed to come and go. Matt and Lynsey have a jeep so Chase and I were able to ride with them, and everyone else had some sort of off roading atv. Either a Ranger, a Rhino, or a Razor. (Don't worry I had no idea what they were until I saw them.)

We did a few trails and they were all really fun. I was worried I wouldn't like it, but I only jumped out of the jeep on one scary part... the rest I toughed out. On Saturday we were on a trail and all of the sudden it started hailing SO HARD. Luckily, Lynsey and I were cuddled in the back of the jeep with a huge quilt and I was wearing a hoody and a coat and a hat, so I wasn't effected much. Chase and Matt on the other hand were in the front of the jeep and they were soaked! Chase didn't even have a hood on his sweatshirt! They both looked like they had just jumped out of a lake.

On the way back Matt asked me if I wanted to drive back. I don't think he thought I would actually say yes, because he asked Chase first, Lynsey next, and finally got to me. And of course I was all down to test my rock climbing skills. So I drove all the way down the trail and I had SO MUCH FUN! Now I know why everyone loves it so much! I would much rather drive! We finally got off the rocky area and made it to the part where its just a pretty mild dirt road. So I cruised on that part pretty fast and then we got to a little S turn in the road and it was on a really steep incline. And of course me being the fantastic stick driver that I am, I killed it right on the edge of the cliff on this HUGE incline. Don't panic I thought, Chase is sitting right next to you and will talk you through it. You will be fine. So, I looked over to Chase for him to confirm my thoughts, and he had already bailed. He was standing on the side of the road shaking his head. NICE CHASE!!! Leave your wife and child to die while you stand by and watch. So after I whined and nagged him for a few seconds he jumped back in and I did FINE. At least now I know how much faith my husband has in me. =]

That night there was a surprise visitor in the campground. We saw a bunch of flashing police lights, so BJ walked over and talked to the cop and while he was over there we heard a gun shot. A few minutes later he came back and said there was a Cougar that has been coming into town and they found it and were trying to take it down. The one gun shot was them shooting it, which they hit it in the leg and wounded it and it took off. So of course all the guys got on their little atv's and went cougar hunting. Apparently after about 6 shots they took it down and it must have been a very old cougar because all of its teeth were all worn down and flat.

We made the long trip home on Sunday, and over all I had a great time. Now Chase wants to sell his bullet bike and buy a jeep to fix up which is absolutely fine with me. I didn't take too many pictures, it rained alot so I was scared to bring it out, but I will post the ones I have soon!
