Disappointed... =[

I have been waiting all week for my headband order to get here from little girl mart... and today IT CAME!!! WOOHOO right? WRONG! I anxiously opened the box and started looking at all of my fun new things, but was quickly disheartened. They sent me two of every color of flower, which limited my 12 assorted flowers to only 6 different colors, and instead of sending me the little waffle crochet baby beanies, they sent me the big people ones. =[ The headbands were ok, but I think a 1/3 satisfaction on an order is pretty sh**ty. So I am sad. I called the little number on the invoice and the mailbox was full. So I emailed the email address and we will see if they ever get back to me. =[ Now I am sad.

EWWWW.

So I have sort of strayed from my American Idol watching. It's not as fun for me to watch talented singers as it is to watch the completely embarassing ones. BUT, last night Chase and I went over to my parents house for my Dad's birthday and my mom was watching it. There are only about 5 left and I watched them all in order and all of the did a really good job. Danny Gokey is still my favorite and I am not sure if it is because I have sympathy for him or what but I just love him, and he's for sure going to win. After Danny it was the last contestant... a thing named ADAM LAMBERT. I say thing, because that's what he is. First of all he is terrifying to look at. So flamboyant and annoying. Ugh. He sends irritated chills up my spine. And then to make it worse, he starts singing. One of my favorite songs called Feeling Good. The song was originally written by Anthoney Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the 1965 musical called The Roar of the Greasepaint- The Smell of the Crowd. It's a jazzy type song and many very talented artists have re-recorded the song, and most of them kept it in the very jazzy-playful genre. But... the fifteenth Artist to record the track was one of my favorite bands. Their name is Muse. It's a very tech-rock kind of band and they are amazing. They did the song on their 2001 album called The Origin of Symmetry. It was the first time the song had been recorded in a more rock and roll kind of feel and they did fantastic. All in all the song has been recorded a grand total of 45 songs including its original recording. The only one of those time that it was recorded in a rock sense was by Muse, in 2001.
So here trots femmy Adam Lambert on stage to sing Feeling Good, and the arrangement starts out with a very techno piano beat... In the original recording, the song doesn't even start out with piano. In Muse's version, ironically the same exact techno piano is used that Adam Lambert miraculously used for his embarassing and pathetic rendition. THE ENTIRE SONG WAS A COMPLETE COPY CAT OF THE SPIN MUSE PUT ON THE SONG!!!

So I sat there. Fuming mad watching this emo-clown prance about the stage completely slaughtering the song and ripping off Muse's creativity and when he finishes, the judges give him a standing ovation!!! They said that song had never been recorded in a rock and roll feel and called him creative and artistic. I about blew my lid. It still makes me angry to think about and no words I can type on this computer can show you just how livid that thing they call Adam Lambert makes me. I want him to go home. He is repulsive and irritating and such a flaming homo. Take off the make up buddy. Not even I can pull off thick black eye liner surrounding my entire eye, and sorry to tell you, you can not either. grr.

So, turn up your speakers because on my blog I posted the Muse version of the song. They do great, and that thing sucks.

Eww. Just looking at his face makes me sick.

His Shoes, My Shoes... Issues.

Chase surprised me the other day and came into my work with a cute pair of new shoes just for me. Exibit A:

Super cute right? Except for he got me a size 7 and I need a size 8. So he took them to Layton Mall to exchange them on Thursday before the game, and I wore them to the game and loved them every second. But that night and Friday, my right foot was really hurting and sore. So I looked at the shoe, and sure enough the right side was smaller than the left. So I took them to the mall and they felt really bad and called around to see if they could find the right sizes that I needed. And of course with my lucky they coudln't. So the girl told me I needed to find another shoe I liked or just get my money back. Well I wanted a new pair of shoes so I looked around and could find only one shoe that I liked. Some really cute black DC's, moccasin style with white pin stripes on them. But, the only problem was that Chase had bought the exact same shoes for him the same days he bought mine... So I thought to myself... Do I take the risk and get the shoes that I want, or do I just get my money back in case Chase throws a fit and is mad at me. So I thought, what the heck... they are cute and the chances of us wearing them on the same day are slim... So I got them. Ha ha! Exibit B:
Was I wrong to get the shoes? Should I have just taken the refund? I don't think it's a big deal... What do you think? INPUT PLEASE!!!

Yay Jazz!!!

Last night I surprised Chase and managed to score us some sweet lower bowl Jazz tickets. Chase loves the Jazz and I told him I was taking him out and he got all mad because he was going to have to DVR the Jazz game and it wouldn't be as exciting. I tried to keep it from him all day but he came into my work and would NOT leave me alone. "Is it a play? Are you taking me to a play? I have to DVR the Jazz game for a play? Is it a Soccer game? Is it Real?" Finally when he asked me if it was the Jazz game I cracked a smile and he got SO EXCITED!!! Then when I told him we were sitting lower bowl I thought he was going to wet his pants on the floor. Now I am glad I told him what it was because he went and bought me a sweet Kyle Korver Jersey. =]

We went with out friends Matt and Lynsey and I am so glad they came they are so fun. Matt wanted to wear his Kobe jersey and Lyns wouldn't let him. So due to the fact that Lyns LOVES Paul Millsap she wore her Millsap jersey and they bought Matt one at the game. Ha Ha.

We went and ate at Iggys before and of course, everytime I eat there I end up leaving my phone on the table. So, if any of you have called of text me since last night, I still haven't recovered it from Iggy's yet. This morning Chase left for Rock Springs at 6 in the morning and took his phone with him so I had no alarm to wake up for work. I woke up at 8:55 and jumped out of bed and ran out the door.

We had an awesome time at the game and now I just hope the Jazz can pull off a win on Saturday!!!

Baby Crazy

I went into the little boutique next door to my work a few days ago just to look and see what they had. And to my surprise they carry those cute little crocheted (?) head bands and beanies with the flowers. They are TOO CUTE to resist buying. So I bought 3 headbands, 3 flowers, and 1 beanie, all coming to a total of $47.97! AH! Chase wanted to murder me when I got home, but then he was a little softened when he saw how darling they are.

Then, last night was a girl I just hired's first day working. She just had a little girl who is now 3 months old. So I was telling her all about how I got the cutest headbands but I paid so much stinking money for them. Little did I know, she is a little girl guru! She told me that "I had to look at this website! It's so amazing!" So I did, and thanks to her, this morning I placed a $47.97 order online. On what? Beanies, headbands and the dang flowers that clip on them!!! But... I got 12 headbands, 12 beanies and 12 Flowers WITH the clips all for the same price that I spent at the boutique!!! YAY FOR BARGAIN SHOPPER MEG!!!

I am so excited! They should be here in about 5 days, so I will let you know if I got ripped off! =] The website, yes I will share with you is http://www.littlegirlmart.com/

More baby Matyx news... I can SEE her moving all the time. Especially late at night I can watch her move around and watch my belly shift and move. Ha! It's so funny! I can't believe how soon she will be here! But you can bet that she will be the cutest little thing ever with all her cute bows!!!

And now for a scary story that Chase's friend Tommy told us the other night...

This family had a big Boaconstrictor, and it was like part of the family... AND it slept under their 2 year old daughters bed.... weird? Yes, but I guess it was too big for a cage and the family obviously treated this huge Boa like any other family pet. I know alot of you share beds with your dogs! Anyway, eventually the snake stopped sleeping under the girls bed and started stretching out right next to the bed. The snake also stopped eating it's mice, and was pretty much starving itself. So after a week or two of the snake not eating, and them still wondering why it was sleeping stretched out next to their toddler's bed, they decided to take it to the vet to see if it was sick. Guess what the doctor said...THEIR PET SNAKE WAS STARVING ITSELF BECAUSE IT WAS PREPARING TO EAT THEIR CHILD!!! The snake had been laying by the bed to size up its prey! (Their daughter!) Ugh! That sends chills up my spine! Anywho... life is good! =]
