She is FINALLY here! Matyx Mckell Moser was born July 17, 2009 at 3:09 p.m. She weighed 6lbs 2oz and was 19 in long! We love her so much! I never thought she would ever get here. It felt like it was taking forever, and now here she is and she is THE BEST thing that has EVER happened to me. Labor wasn't so much fun and neither is the recovering, but it is worth it by a long shot! On Wednesday I went in to my doctors appointment and my doctor stripped my membranes again. She said I still hadn't dialated anymore, but that I was 95% effaced. As soon as we got in the car to leave the doctors I started having really consistent contractions. During that day they got worse and closer together, and that night we went to my parents and took about an hour long power walk. By the time we were done my contractions were 3 minutes apart and pretty painful. (Little did I know.... I hadn't seen nothing yet.) So we went home and got in bed and at about 3:30 I finally decided to wake Chase up and make him take me to the hospital. So they checked us all in and put me on the monitor and at about 6 that morning the nurse came in and told me that I wasn't dialating and that they were sending me home. I cried. I was so disappointed and I thought for sure that was it. So we went home and I got some rest.
Later that afternoon (Thursday) we went to visit our friend Blake and Kara who just had their new baby girl that morning. Kara went a week past her due date and ended up having a C-section. It made me more impatient and more mindful of my persisting contractions. We headed out to Murray to watch my cousin Nichelle play softball and got home around 11 p.m. Again at 3 that morning I woke up and the pain had TRIPLED. So I stuck it out for fear of being sent home again and then finally at 7 I called the hospital and talked to a labor and delivery nurse who told me that I was too early to be in labor and to stick it out till my doctors appointment at 11 that morning. I was so mad. I called my doctors office and asked if they could see me any earlier and they told me that my doctor was in surgeries till 11 and was only coming in for my ultrasound. Chase's sister Anisha called me and talked to me and told me that she could tell by the sound of my voice that I needed to go in. So despite what the hospital nurse told me, we went in again, and had them put me on the monitor. That was at about 9 Friday morning. My contractions continued to worsen. At 11:15 my doctor came in and said... "We are going to keep you. I will break your water and we will start you on a little bit of pitocin and you can get your epidural whenever you want it." NOW!!!!!" haha. After she broke my water it was about 45 minutes till I got my epidural. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE FELT MORE PAIN THAN THAT. When I first got to the hospital the contractions were only about a minute long... I could wait it out and it didn't seem so long. That all changed. They were lasting so much longer and hurt so bad I couldn't even think. The epidural wasn't bad and totally worth it.
My doctor told me she wasn't counting on her coming till about 11 that night since it was my first so the nurse would keep checking me and she was going to go home. I was only at a 3 so she figured she had a good while. At 2 the nurse checked me again and I was at a 6, so we were thinking maybe at about 5 that night she would be there. At 2:40 she came in and checked me again and her face went pale. She said, YOU ARE COMPLETE! DON'T MOVE YOUR LEGS! I panicked. COMPLETE? AH!!!! So they started getting everything ready and the doctor rushed back and at 3:09 my little sugar bean was born. She is beautiful and I love her so much.
I have never had anyone come into my life that I knew that I loved right off the bat. She didn't need to do anything to earn it or prove to me she wanted it, or earn my trust. I just knew that I loved her more than anything else in the world and all the pain and tears were more than worth it. Losing all my sleep and sacrificing my body and sanity is nothing when I get to hold her and she opens her big blue eyes and I know that there is no one else in the whole world who gets to be what I am to her. HER MOMMY!
Chase is such an amazing dad. I can't even believe howfast he stepped up to the plate. He couldn't wait to change her diaper and loves to hold her and talk to her. I knew he would be amazing but he surprised me by just how amazing he is. I love him so much and so glad that he is in my life.
She is growing and changing so much and everyday I love her more and more. Here are a few of the pictures that I have so far, but I am sure there will be many more to come!
I love all of those pictures Meg!!! She is a cutie.
